I've been posting a lot of Washington pictures lately so I thought I'd post a pick from my journey to Svalbard at the top of the world. Like a sack of potatoes, walrus just lay around on the beach all day in between their dives for mollusks on the sea floor. They're incredible to watch, but the excitement dies down after some minutes of watching couches with tusks sleep. Still, a fascinating animal and certainly a curious one.
