As the cathode ray tube in a television ages, it can become dimmer due to less efficient electron emission. An inexpensive fix is to install a booster transformer between the base and the connector of the picture tube. The booster supplies a moderate, continuous overvoltage to the tube, reactivating the electron emitter and thus extending the life of the picture tube.

It's killing me that I can't read the detail on the posters outside the Rotunda Round Room, but thought you might like this one in any case...
