Speed of Love & Light

February 6th Studios at 625 in the Arts District of Winston-Salem, NC, USA celebrated our Tenth anniversary. We offered a variety of free art activities inside and outside of the studios that anyone/any age could do for free. This little one was running around in the street where we had sidewalk chalk drawing going on . . . his three of his other siblings were drawing away while his mother held an infant . . . this one was full speed ahead running and running and running. All I could think about after I asked his mom's permission to shot photos of the children was how can she still be standing up at this hour of the evening? God Bless Mothers Everyone!
Celebrating Tenth Anniversary of the creation of the Studios at 625. Studios at 625 Trade in the Downtown Arts District in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States of America were founded by Marianne DiNapoli-Mylet, Alan G. Miller, Sharon Hardin, and Julie Doub in March 1999. They were joined a year later by Mary Bailey Thomas. They have had a number of artists move out and in over the years but have survived even in this economy with the philosophy of being a working studio that opens up once a month for the first Friday Gallery Hops in the Arts District, by chance or by appointment. They often have art activities for the public to participate in and frequently invite students to show work. They endorse the joy of creating original one of a kind work and sharing it with others.
Aaron Carven a friend of ours that teaches Orchestra at Forsyth Country Day School is a Jazz (Bass) musician and he and his friends came and set up outside the studio and played to the delight of all.
