In the Sekaido, the indexcards are at the first floor.

I could find,
- Indexcard
-- name card size
-- 5x3 size
-- 6x4 size
-- B6 size

with Plain, Printable, Section (quadrille), 6mm ruled, 8mm ruled.

Besides indexcards,
- Dock
- Index (separater) with various color
- Indexcard purse
are available.

Sekaido is very special case even in Tokyo. I couldn't find any other store with such a various indexcard-related products yet. This would be "Makka" for indexcard geek.

Pikes of ice

That morning, in my garden, everything was frosted and small pikes of ice crystals was everywhere on the plants. It remainded like that all day long.

I used my macro lens and searched for having the light reflected inside the ice by turning around that branch while keeping a dark background. Then I enhanced the contrast a bit, as the sharpness.

I had never seen such a natural behaviour of ice formation, except in photos, before.

El Capitan

Yosemite National Park (see map) is closer to my "standards" in term of landscape than the arid but so beautifull parks in Nevada, Utah and Arizona.

The light on the "El Capitan" (the name of that rock) is very special in this park the morning.
The lighting, contrast, staturation and hue of the photo was adjusted.

A good souvenir in my mind.

Tiny Pectinaria articulata subsp. asperiflora flowers found in the areas around Laingsburg and Matjesfontein, Western Cape, South Africa.

Note: The coarse river sand grains (that look like pebbles in the foreground), serves as a good scale reference.

Flowers in the Wind

Along the highway 580 to San Francisco (see map) there are hundreds of windmills over the hills. They are like flowers in the wind.
The color of their fields against the blue sky (polirizer used) was striking as the curves made by the hills.

If you look the map in "satellite" mode, you can see in the surrounding the many windmills by clusters of 20-30.

The moon has been added afterward in post processing and HDR treatment was also applied.

Mysterious

Very nice viewed large on Black

I have chosen some horizontal angle and used spot metering in backlighting to take this photo.

The shallow DOF renders well the bokeh of the macro lens and its high sharpness of the "in focus" part.

There is a bit of mystery in that photo of a young leaf of an Acer pseudoplatanus brillantissimum from my garden even if the photo was taken in very good lighting condition (the sun was there and it was a bright day).

Some contrast adjustement and cropping have been applied in post processing.
