Just in time for Halloween, we’re letting the yokai out to wander the streets and haunt the cafes of Azabujuban. I’m thrilled to announce my first solo show, Night of the Yokai – Patrick Gannonの摩訶不思議な切絵展.

Little Flycatcher'ish Gray Job Needs ID

Location: Talking Rock, Pickens County, Georgia, USA
Comment :: Saw several of this type of bird in my yard towards mid-summer.. Two were just as cute as could be as they fluttered very much like butterflies thru the approximate 40' tall treetops..
This was a one-shot deal catching this image as the bird disappeared as fast as he had sat down.. Looks like a miniature Mockingbird almost.. For perspective, he's perched on one of those small solar-batteried garden lights that are about a foot and a piece off the ground.. Like I said, he's small..
He looks stressed here (unless that's just their behavior), but I don't remember the weather being particularly hot or otherwise unusual..
Did find what looked like a reasonable match over at Cornell's All About Birds but then lost the page.. HATE when that happens.. Off to see if I can track it back down.. :)
