This short video teaser is a clip from a 4-minute excerpt of "Dynamic Earth: Exploring Earth's Climate Engine," a fulldome, high-resolution movie playing at planetariums around the world.

The excerpt explores the fundamental power of the sun and how its energy drives the climate on Earth, and is made up entirely of new visualizations -- created by NASA Goddard's Scientific Visualization Studio -- that illustrate NASA satellite and model data of a coronal mass ejection from the sun, Earth's magnetic fields, and winds and ocean currents circulating around our planet.

Panda Bears - No Need to Be Extinct

The panda bear, also known as the giant panda bear, is native to central-western and southwestern China. Panda bears have distinct physical features including large, patches of black fur around their eyes, over their ears and across their round body, which is covered in white fur. Their bodies are round due to their diet. Though classified as a carnivore, the panda bear has a diet which consists mainly of bamboo; panda bears will occasionally eat other foods like honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges and bananas.

The average panda bear eats as much as 20 to 30 pounds of bamboo shoots a day. Because panda bears consume a diet low in nutrition, it is important for it to keep its digestive tract full. The limited energy input imposed on it by its diet has affected the panda's behavior. The Giant Panda tends to limit its social interactions and avoids steeply sloping terrain in order to limit its energy expenditures. In the wild, panda bears' life expectancy is about 14 to 20 years; in habitats managed by humans the expectancy goes up to approximately 30 years.

The greatest threats to the panda species is habitat loss and a low birthrate. Poaching by locals and by foreigners is also a threat to the survival of panda bears.

Efforts to sustain the panda bear population are international. In China there is a panda sanctuary called the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries in the province of Sichuan, protection by law from the Chinese government and other wildlife reserves.

In the U.S., researchers at zoos like the San Diego Zoo are studying pandas' behaviors and needs in hopes of learning how to better care for the animals. Some of the behaviors and needs being studied are panda bears' scent marking, nutritional needs and how they communicate with each other. In addition, worldwide environmental organizations like the World Wide Fund for Nature are working on saving pandas.

This is the hardest composite picture i have made so far.
it contains of three separated pairs.
i took the animals in our nature museum (Taxidermy) and later took a landscape by intention for creating this composite.
Still there are many wild rams in our Iranian mountains but unfortunately the number of Iranian panthers sadly have been reduced that it rarely maybe found in Iran today !

What Clients Need To Know About Animation Studios

Yup, you did not read me wrong. I said - most animation companies dislike their clients.

Before you close this window in a huff, please allow me to justify my statement. First, I need you to notice that I used the word 'most'. I need you to hold this in your memory before you read on.

I need to be perfectly honest here.3D Modal Clients can be painfully ignorant sometimes. Although they are effectively our 'employers', they are also the most difficult bunch to contend with. Very often animation companies get ludricous requests from clients that go in the lines of:

'Oh, I need to do a 30 minute animation for my daughter's wedding. It would be such a lovely present for her, don't you think? By the way, I am thinking of Finding Nemo quality wise and my budget's $ 500. That should be enough right?'

Ermmm...not quite...While we appreciate your love for your daughter, Finding Nemo cost almost 100 million dollars to produce. It was about 90 minutes in length and that means 30 minutes would cost about 66 million dollars. We are missing quite a few zeros here.

Usually at this point the animation company who receives such a request goes silent for a beat, and then animated guffaws (pun intended!) arise, followed by the tone of a disengaged phone.

Actually all of us are guilty of walking at least once into a restaurant or a store thinking of getting a bite or purchasing a pair of shoes for less than what these establishments are asking for. The only difference between these scenarios and that of querying a 3D service is that we get to see the price tags and we never have to stipulate our budgets, thus avoiding the embarrassment.

The point I am trying to make is - while clients need to be more realistic about their budgets when asking for a 3D Modal service, animation companies also need to be more forgiving towards them as unrealistic expectations usually stem from ignorance. I insist that my company patiently explains the procedure of producing an animated clip.

We love all our clients and we will endeavour to educate them on animation production so that they know how to set realistic budgets and goals for their animation projects.
