Couple paddles a canoe with Morro Rock in the background. Serene Scene from the Morro Photo Expo 'Shooting from the Water' tour I led in Morro Bay, CA 24 Oct 2009, as taken from the Dos Osos Subsea Tours Pontoon Boat "See Canoeing and Kayaking opportunities along with bay cruises" piloted by Kevin Winfield, and interpreted by Morro Bay Museum of Natural History's Rouvaishyana, on my "Shoot from the Water" tour led by me Michael "Mike" L. Baird, as part of the 2009 Morro Photo Expo morrophoto.com. Photo by Michael "Mike" L. Baird bairdphotos.com, Canon 5D w/ 100-400mm IS lens handheld.

White Background Step by Step Setup

Strobist summary:

AB1600, 1/2 power fired PW at right side of white background paper.
AB1600, 1/2 power fired PW at left side of white background paper.
AB1600, 1/4 to 1/2 power fired by PW into large octobox over subject.

Lighting Information:

The first chance to try out my new Alien Bees flashes came at our family dinner Christmas party. The extra power over my older D-lite 4's and my SB-28's lent itself perfectly to the now classic Zack Arias White Seamless back ground setup. As these setup shots always seem to garner a lot of attention, I though I would include a step by step run through of my interpretation of Zack's fantastic setup.
