Correcting dog behavior can be accomplished very easily if you know which steps can be done to help you with this problem. One common dog behavior that many people look to get corrected is the incessant barking that can be seen with many animals. I know that for me I have one dog that does have a barking problem that I had to correct and here are some of the methods that I used to successfully accomplish getting this dog behavior corrected.
The first step that I did to handle this issue is I taught him the meaning of the word quiet. Now for some people you might be asking how can a dog understand something that I am telling him especially something like this. Well that is easy because each time that he does the barking that you do not want him to do you will tell him to be quiet. Then when he quiets down after you say the word you will praise him with chest pats or treats.
The second step that really will help you out is to establish yourself as the alpha in your house. Now I know that many of you are probably saying that how can you possibly do this to help correct dog behavior in a barking manner, but once you do this you will learn that if you are not making any noise towards the object your dog will typically reply the same way that you are reacting. So if you are shouting or hollering at something your dog will also get upset and start making his voice known as well.

Most consumers engage in buying as a normal and routine part of their everyday lives. Repetitive purchasing that becomes a primary response to negative events or feelings . It becomes very difficulty to stop and ultimately results in harmful consequence to individuals or others. Compulsive buying is undesirable because it has sever consequences such as amassing huge amounts of debt that are difficult to retire and feelings of remorse , lowered self esteem, and weekend inter personal relationships . Shopaholics are addicted to purchasing and use it as a fix to offset emotional deprivation. And when they are confronted over their spending habits they will often switch to another type of chronic destructive habits such as over eating, work holism or over exercising. Studies show that as much as 10 percent of the American population can be classified as hard core shoppers who shop for shopping sake rather that to fill real needs. One factor facilitating the process is the easy availability of the credit cards. It is probably no coincidence that there has been a rapid growth in the bank cards issued during the rise in the problem of compulsive consumption. One consumer was even able to obtain 1199 different types of credit cards to win a bet with a friend. The result of easy credit can be staggering debt. Support groups have been established to fight this type of addiction by helping people who are trying to stop their compulsion to spend beyond their means for things they don’t need.
FRADULENT CONSUMER BEHAVIOR :
Shop lifting is an example of fraudulent or a criminal type of deviant consumer behavior that involves the theft of retail merchandise during the store hours by someone who is shopping or pretending to shop. Shop lifting rose 35 per cent between the mid – 1980’s – 1990 and equals about two per cent of all retail sales excluding gas and car purchases. Thus , it must be emphasized that consumers, just as business and other organizations , have an obligation to act responsibly in the marketplace in exchange relationships.

Have you ever had a roommate that you absolutely hated? Well I have, and I know there are many hamsters that have as well. But unless you've ever had a fierce battle with a hated roommate, you probably haven't experienced what some hamsters go through. Hamsters will not hesitate to take things to the next level and fight. Most hamsters, in fact, can only be kept as pets on their own because having a roommate would guarantee trouble. This does not apply to all hamsters though. One of the few social hamsters out there is the Roborovski dwarf hamster. And that's what I love about these guys, they are very social and friendly animals. They live best in pairs and in addition to their social nature, their friendliness can be seen in the fact that they don't nip at their owners like many other hamsters do. Roborovski dwarf hamsters are some of the friendliest animals out there, but there is a bit more to it than that.
Roborovskis are very social creatures and live best in pairs. In fact, they can even live in threesomes. But although they are generally very friendly, things can sometimes take a turn for the worse. The more hamsters you house together, the more likely there could be a fight. So although housing three of these guys together may be ok, I would not suggest anything more than that. Also, males are known to reject cage mates more often than females and the younger these guys are when the meet, the better. If two older Roborovskis dwarf hamsters are paired up, there might be a scuffle. But there are methods and precautions to take to improve the likely hood they'll get along. One such precaution is introducing them on neutral territory. As you can see, these guys are not always perfectly nice, but they are still one of the most social species of hamster.
Another trait that displays their good nature is that they don't nip their owners.
The truth though, is that although this is partly because of their friendly nature, it is also partly because they are so darn tiny and get scared rather quickly. The Roborovski dwarf hamster would rather run and hide than try to nip you. Their skittishness can sometimes be troublesome as this makes them difficult to handle. They will run and scurry very quickly and can easily escape from a child's hands and be difficult to catch. In addition to that, their shy and nervous personalities don't always fit with a young child who will want to frequently play with them. It will take some taming and building of trust to get these hamsters comfortable. But despite these setbacks due to skittishness, their shyness is overall a lovable quality. It is great to watch them run and scurry around the cage. They love to jump all over the cage and will play enthusiastically with any toys you provide them. It is also very cute when you are giving them a treat and they are curious enough to run up and sniff, but they are scared as well and will run away, and then they will run back up again.
Betta behavior is amazing and often spectacular to view. They are often found to be aggressive towards other bettas, thus their name betta splendens, or splendid warrior.
What people often don't know about bettas is that they are only aggressive towards other bettas but not towards other fish. That's why bettas are considered to be a good candidate for community tanks.
Despite their spectacular displays of aggression, bettas are very gentle and are commonly targeted by other aggressive fish like tiger barbs. Aggressive betta behavior can be linked to the betta's mating habits. Males do often compete for the females just like any other animals. Though certain strains of bettas are more aggressive than others, even the calmer strains still exhibit this behavior but much less often than the more aggressive strain.
Whenever one male betta spots another they begin to exhibit the well known betta behavior. They start extending their fins and opening up their gills, trying to look as big as they possibly can and appear to pose a threat in terms of their strength and ability to fight.
This behavior is called displaying or flaring. If the size difference is huge, then you can expect the smaller fish to back down. But when the bettas are just about evenly matched, they will start attacking each other, so never put two bettas together, especially in tiny fish bowls where there is nowhere to run or hide.
There are inquisitive people who discovered that bettas can't actually distinguish between an actual betta and a reflection. Using a mirror is an often entertaining way of watching a betta fight without actually injuring it, and the display could last hours or days.
Even two bettas that are placed in jars would still flair at each other just as long as they can see each other. They get bored eventually though and stop their futile displays of aggression. Replacing a betta with another one would surely start another flaring match since they don't know each other and they need to establish a new pecking order.
The issue of pecking order can even be seen in a community tank. When you combine bettas in a single tank, they start showing their usual betta behavior and start fighting and biting at each other. After a while, the biggest and strongest betta emerges and becomes the ALPHA fish in the tank. As long as that fish is in the tank, there would only be minor skirmishes that would occur inside your tank. But as soon as the ALPHA fish is removed, chaos again ensues as they try to establish the pecking order.
Aggressive betta behavior can also appear in baby bettas as soon as they begin to show some fin. Flaring then starts and soon enough they would then be biting at each other's fins. That's why breeders start to place male bettas inside jars until all that's left in the tank are female bettas.

Today I spent my first appointment walking with a client's dog and dog walker. The dog is a 7 mo. old, male Australian Shepherd. The dog walker has been having trouble with him jumping up & nipping at her for the first 1/2 hr of the walk, the second half he is better.
We began walking him and within the first few minutes it became very obvious why he was doing this behavior. She is a very good dog walker who has good instincts and asks a lot of great questions, so had she seen the behavior from my point of view, she would have realized the situation immediately.
First off, she was walking him on her right side. Though we haven't worked much with his walking, when we have it has always been on the left side, so he was obviously a little confused about where he should be. But the main thing I noticed was that although she was walking briskly to tire him out, she wasn't giving him any feedback. There was very little interaction happening between them. The dog was going to her left side, jumping up at her, and it was as if he had a big bubble over his head saying "look at me, look at me, look at me!!"
The answer, of course, is he needs more mental stimulation. This is an extremely intelligent breed that needs as much, if not more, mental exercise than physical. Please don't misunderstand, I'm all for physical exercise. However, if that's all you do you end up with a stupid marathon runner. A well-exercised dog with great stamina and endurance, yet he still doesn't know anything. So if the physical exercise now takes 1 hour to tire him out, in 6 months you will need 1.5 hrs to tire him out and it will keep increasing from there. If you think about it, what makes you want to take a nap more? An hour on the treadmill or an hour of calculus or physics? Personally, an hour on the treadmill gets me energized, but use my brain like that for an hour & I want to take a nap.
All this stuff about people thinking they can just run the dog or put a heavy back pack on them (without knowing if the dog is physically fit enough to handle it), and thinking that will cure all their problems is ridiculous.
Mental exercise, of which training is the most important part, is what tires a dog out the fastest. And at the end of it all the dog will know what you want/need him to know. At the very end of it all you have built a great relationship with your dog. And the relationship is what it's all about isn't it?
So, you know it occurred to me that I didn't mention what we did to help resolve this pup's boredom during walks. We are going to teach him to touch things with his nose & paw. That way when they see a construction cone, lawn jockey, or other interesting thing on the walk she can ask him to touch it with either or both, his nose or paw. When he wants to sniff a bush we ask him to sit, shake, spin, lie down, something/anything. Then he gets to run over & sniff the area. We tossed a few treats into a grassy area and told him to find it, so he gets to use his nose. On our walk we found a big palm frond he wanted to play with. So we picked it up, asked for a sit and played a quick game of tug o' war. Asked for a "drop", then another quick down, spin, shake, and tug again. He had a blast and it really broke up the monotony for both the dog & walker. The walk was much more enjoyable and he was thoroughly exhausted at the end of it!
