American ipecac, also called Carolina Ipecac, Euphorbia ipecacuanhae. This is a very low plant, and was easy to miss. At the annual burn site in the Sandhills Gamelands, near Hoffman.

The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon native to North America. Found throughout the country, the American Kestrel has been described as one of the most color raptors in the world. This photo was taken at the Hazel and Bill Rutherford Wildlife Prairie State Park in Peoria County, Illinois, about 10 miles west of downtown Peoria.
